About Us
The Company
Inspired by Nature has been creating beautiful, individualised gardens since 2001.
We have delighted clients in Perth and Western Australian country areas, in Auckland, New Zealand and Europe.
We actively listen to our clients needs, preferences and desires to create a landscape that not only expresses their personality, compliments their lifestyle, delights their senses, and fits their budget, but one that is also sensitive to the uniqueness of the site and environmental factors.
At Inspired by Nature, we are as passionate about our clients needs as we are about our precious environment. While we design a garden according to each individual clients preferences, we do encourage the creation of habitats for birdlife and local fauna by using, wherever possible, local plants.
Commercial, residential and horticultural practises impact on our environment and waterways. Our objective at Inspired by Nature is to minimise that impact by recommending safer, more natural methods for keeping gardens, and gardeners, healthy, and preventing damage to our precious waterways. We'd like our waterways to remain crystal clean for the benefit of not only our generation but future generations and our marine and birdlife too.
All of our design and consultation packages are tailor made to suit our clients needs and budgets. We can either - assist the keen D.I.Y gardener with advice and sketches, or alternatively, we can provide clients with a detailed scale drawn plan, and we can recommend a suitable landscape construction firm to create your dream garden.
At Inspired by Nature we can create a magnificent garden design, using any theme, anywhere in the world.

Our Chief Designer
Lisa Passmore, a third generation Horticulturist, spent many of her early years working in the family businesses - Blossoms Garden Centre, Blossoms Florist and Blossoms Wholesale Nursery. At Blossoms, Lisa learnt about the business of plant growing, quite literally from the ground up.
Lisa left Blossoms to further develop her skills, spending several years working in the customer service industries in Australia and Europe.
However, Lisa's lifelong passion of Art, Art history, drawing and painting, continued to pull at her heartstrings. At 28 years of age, all the pieces came together and Lisa realised she could combine her creative ability, her love of art, history and drawing, and use her plant knowledge and skills, to design beautiful gardens. With new vision Lisa completed a four-year diploma in Horticulture and Landscape Design.
'Inspired by Nature' Lisa's landscape design and consultancy business was born. For Lisa this is the perfect marriage between her great passions of Art, Horticulture and people. Lisa feels that landscape design is quite simply her 'dream job'.
Talks
Passionate about plants, landscaping and the environment, Lisa is often called upon to give talks to garden groups and associations. Lisa has spoken at 'The Talking gardens' at Garden Week since 2004, The Cottage Garden Society and the Perth Garden Club, to name a few. In 2007 Lisa was invited to develop and present the Garden Design Course for Homebase Expo in Subiaco and is thoroughly enjoying sharing her knowledge with her keen students.
TV Presenter
In 2003 Lisa presented several segments on Perth's Channel Nine 'Gardening WA' TV show, an experience that Lisa thoroughly enjoyed.
Lisa has also been interviewed by Don Burke on Burke's Backyard for one of her highly acclaimed water-wise garden designs.
Associations
Lisa is a member of the Horticultural Media Association, and The Landscape Industry Association of Western Australia where she served in the role of President between 2003 and 2005.
